Common questions.

Do I need to bring my own saw?

No. We provide Husqvarna 550 XPs, chaps, and helmets. You bring steel-toed boots, long pants, gloves, water and a packed lunch.

Where is the course held?

Our property just outside Kenora for open registrations. For groups of 4+ we'll come to your site anywhere in Northwestern Ontario.

Is the certificate recognized for insurance?

Yes — completion of the 2-day course (with assessment) issues an industry-recognized operator certificate accepted by insurers and employers across Ontario.

Minimum age?

18+. We can run a custom session for 16+ with parental consent and a guardian on-site for the field portion.

What's the group size?

Maximum 6 students per instructor — non-negotiable. Small groups are why this course works.

Can I just do the maintenance day?

Yes — if you've completed our 1-day previously, you can register for Day 2 standalone at $195. Email us to arrange.
